What it does
What an Australian business phone
actually has to do.
One business number
The number your customers already ring. It rings every signed-in device at once, and the first person to answer takes it.
Your whole team
Two devices included, five in total. A device is any phone or tablet signed in, so nobody needs a second handset.
Business calls
In and out on the business number. Unlimited standard Australian calls under fair use, with no per-minute metering.
Two-way SMS
Customers text the business number and anyone on the team can reply from it. Threads are shared, not stuck on one handset.
Two-way MMS
Photos both directions, on the same Australian number as the calls.
A number per location
Add a number for each shop or area you run. They all arrive in the one app, and each person picks which ones ring their phone.
Locations
A number for
every location.
One app.
A business with two shops has two numbers, and both of them are yours. Add a number per location and they all arrive in the same app, so one person can cover more than one shop without carrying more than one phone.
Each person picks which of your numbers ring their own device, and you can override that per number when someone has to be reachable on a particular line.
Additional numbers carry their own monthly charge, and you see the rate for a number before you take it.
Already using Seglo?
Then the phone knows who is calling.
Seglo Phone works on its own, and nothing above depends on running anything else. If your business already runs on Seglo, the two join up: the caller’s customer record, their upcoming appointments and what you have done for them are on screen before anyone says hello, and the call attaches to that record afterwards.
It is an addition, not a requirement. Most Seglo Phone customers only want a phone.
Straight answers
The questions people actually ask.
- Can more than one person answer the same number?
- Yes. A call rings every signed-in device at once and the first person to answer takes it. The rest stop ringing. Two devices are included and you can go to five.
- Can I have a different number for each location?
- Yes. You can add a number for each location you run, and they all arrive in the same app, so one person can answer more than one location. Each person chooses which of your numbers rings their own phone. Additional numbers carry their own monthly charge, shown when you select the number.
- Will customers see a staff member's personal number?
- No. Calls and messages your team sends go out on the business number. Customers reply to the business, not to a mobile.
- Can I keep the number I already advertise?
- Usually. Bringing an existing Australian number across is included in the $149 setup charge, and a transfer typically takes three to ten business days with no downtime. Some numbers cannot be transferred, and some can move for calls but not for SMS; we check yours before you are charged.
- Does it work for emergency calls?
- 000 and 112 work from Seglo Phone, and they need power and a working internet connection. In an outage, use a mobile or a fixed line. Emergency services see the service address registered against your number, not your live location. Keep another way to reach emergency services at every location.
