Fair use means ordinary day-to-day business conversation. It does not permit marketing blasts, bulk or spam messaging, or automated sending. The acceptable use policy
01 / Not in the $79
What is charged separately.
- International calling. Not included in the monthly charge and not switched on by default.
- Additional business numbers, one per location. Available, but each carries its own monthly charge on top of the $79, shown when you select the number.
- The AI receptionist. A separate subscription; it is not part of the $79.
- Bulk or marketing messaging. Not permitted on your business number at any price.
02 / Getting out
The exit costs nothing. Here is the whole of it.
There is no fixed term and no early-termination charge. The $149 setup is fully refundable until the transfer is lodged with the carrier or your new number is activated. Cancel within the first ten business days after go-live and the month you have paid is refunded as well.
If you are ever having trouble paying, there is a payment assistance policy rather than an argument.
If you leave, the number goes with you. Start the transfer out within thirty days of closing the account.
03 / The document that governs it
These figures are not marketing.
Seglo is a carriage service provider, so the plan has a Critical Information Summary: a short, standard-form document stating the pricing, the minimum total cost, the emergency-call position, the porting timeframe, cooling-off and refunds. Every number on this page comes from it.
Where this page and the Critical Information Summary ever disagree, the Summary and the full terms are what govern the service. Read it
Straight answers
About the bill.
- What is the least I can spend?
- $228. That is the $149 one-off setup charge plus one month at $79. The plan is month to month with no exit charge, so you can stop after that month.
- Is GST included in those figures?
- No. Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST, which is shown as a separate line on your invoice.
- When does the $79 start?
- When your number goes live. You are not charged monthly while the service is being set up or while a transfer is in progress.
- What counts as a device?
- Any phone or tablet signed in to Seglo Phone. One team member using both a phone and a tablet uses two devices. Two are included and the maximum is five. You see the cost before you confirm an extra device.
- Can I get the setup charge back?
- It is fully refundable until Seglo submits your transfer to the carrier, or until a new number is activated. After that point it is non-refundable, because the work is done.
- What if it does not work out in the first few weeks?
- As a goodwill window, if you cancel within the first ten business days after go-live, Seglo refunds the monthly charge you have paid. The exit charge is $0 either way. Nothing there limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- How am I billed?
- To a card on file through Stripe. The $149 setup is a one-off invoice and the $79 a month is a recurring charge on its own invoice, separate from any other Seglo product you use.
- What does unlimited mean here?
- Standard Australian calls, SMS and MMS with no per-minute or per-message metering, under a fair-use policy. Fair use means ordinary day-to-day business communication. It does not permit marketing blasts, bulk or spam messaging, or automated sending.
