For dog groomers
The phone rings.
You already know
which dog.
A business phone for grooming salons. It rings every set of hands in the shop, and when the salon runs on Seglo the client and their pet are on screen before anyone says hello.
Wet hands, one number
It rings every device in the salon at once
You know the dog
With Seglo, the client and pet record is on screen
Photos both ways
Two-way MMS on the same number as the calls
01 / Wet hands, ringing phone
Every call arrives at the worst possible moment.
You are holding a dog. The phone is at the front, it is on its fourth ring, and the person nearest to it is also holding a dog. By the time somebody is dry it has stopped, and the caller has moved on to whoever answered.
When it is caught, the conversation starts from nothing: what was the name, which dog, when were they last in. Three questions before you get to the one they rang about.
A missed grooming call is not a missed call. It is a booking that went to the salon down the road.
02 / Whoever has a dry hand
One call, every device in the salon.
A call to the salon number rings every signed-in phone and tablet at once. The first person to answer takes it and the rest stop ringing. Nobody walks a cordless handset across the room, and nobody has to be the person who owns the phone.
Your groomers keep their own numbers. Nothing they send goes out under a personal mobile, so clients never end up with a groomer’s number saved in their phone.
A call nobody reached still lands in front of the whole salon afterwards, instead of sitting in one person’s missed-call list.
03 / When the salon runs on Seglo
The conversation starts at the dog.
This is the part that only works because the phone and the grooming software are the same system. The number is matched against your client records, so whoever answers sees the client, the pets on that client, the notes from last time and what they have booked next, before they speak.
Afterwards the call, the texts and the photos attach to that client’s record. When somebody leaves, the history stays behind for the next person who takes that dog.
Seglo Phone does not require it. But if you are already running the salon on Seglo, this is what the two together are for.
What is on screen before hello
Who is calling
The client record, matched on the number, before you speak.
Which pet
The pets on that client, and the notes from last time.
What is booked
Their upcoming appointment, without opening the diary.
What happened
The call, the texts and the photos stay on the client's record.
The grooming software is a separate product. See what Seglo does for grooming businesses
04 / When every hand is wet
Somebody can still answer.
Seglo’s AI receptionist can take the call when nobody can. It knows your services, your prices and your opening hours, it books into the same diary your team works from, and it tells the caller at the start that it is an assistant. Anything it should not be deciding comes to a person.
It is a separate subscription and is not part of the $79. See what Seglo Phone itself costs
Straight answers
From groomers who asked first.
- Do I need Seglo's grooming software to use Seglo Phone?
- No. Seglo Phone works on its own as a business phone. The client and pet context on this page is what you get in addition when the salon also runs on Seglo.
- How does it know which client is calling?
- It matches the incoming number against your client records in Seglo. When it matches, whoever answers sees the client, their pets and their upcoming appointment before saying hello.
- Can groomers answer without stopping what they are doing?
- A call rings every signed-in device at once and the first person to answer takes it, so whoever has a free hand picks up. Nobody walks a handset across the salon and nobody has to be the person who owns the phone.
- Can clients text photos of their dog?
- Yes. Two-way MMS runs on the same number as the calls, so a client can send a photo of the coat they are describing and you can send one back. Video messaging is not supported.
- What happens to the conversation when a groomer leaves?
- It stays. Calls, messages and photos sit on the client's record rather than on that person's handset, so whoever takes that dog next can read them. Take the person off the team and the next call skips their device.
- Can it answer when the whole salon is busy?
- Seglo's AI receptionist can take the call instead, and it tells the caller at the start that it is an assistant. It is a separate subscription from Seglo Phone and is not part of the $79.
