Business phone system

A phone system with
nothing to mount
on a wall.

One Australian business number, answered by up to five devices your team already owns. Calls, two-way SMS and two-way MMS. Live in days, not after a site visit.

See what it costs
01

Nothing to install

No handsets, no cabling, no on-site box

02

Live in days

A new number in a day or two; a transfer in three to ten business days

03

Month to month

$149 to set up, $79 a month, no exit charge

01 / The quote you were expecting

Most phone systems are sold by the handset.

The traditional answer to “we need a proper business phone” is equipment: a box, a set of desk phones, a cable run, a technician, and a term long enough to pay for all of it. The cost that hurts is not the quote. It is that every change afterwards is another visit.

The other answer is to keep using someone’s mobile and hope. That costs nothing until the day that person is away, or leaves, and takes the number and the conversation history with them.

A business phone system should mean the business owns the number and the record of what was said on it. Everything else is packaging.

02 / What replaces it

The system is an app and a settings page.

Your number lives with Seglo. When it rings, every signed-in device rings at once, and the first person to answer takes the call. When someone new starts, you switch them on and they sign in. When someone leaves, you take them off the team and the very next call skips them.

There is no console to reprogram, no extension plan to redraw and nothing physical that can fail on a Saturday.

Adding a person takes effect on the next call, not on the next site visit.

More on what moving the system off site actually changes

The whole system

The number

One Australian business number, ported in or newly issued.

The people

Two devices included, five in total. Switch a person on or off in settings.

The channels

Calls, two-way SMS and two-way MMS on that one number.

The records

Call history, voicemail and message threads belong to the business.

03 / Getting the number across

You are not betting the number.

It is on your signage, your vehicles and every listing you have. So the order matters: Seglo checks the number can be transferred before anything is charged, and your existing service keeps working right up to the moment it switches. There is never a window where customers cannot reach you.

A transfer typically takes three to ten business days. We cannot promise a date, because your current provider controls part of that timeline and nobody in Australia can override it.

The $149 is refundable in full until the transfer is lodged with the carrier. If you would rather start clean, a new Australian number is ready in a day or two.

04 / What it does not do

The list nobody
else prints.

  • Human calls are not recorded or transcribed. Voicemail is.
  • Video messaging is not supported. Photographs are.
  • Five devices in total, two included. A phone and a tablet is two devices.
  • International calling is not included in the monthly charge and is not switched on by default.
  • Facebook and Instagram messages do not arrive here. Calls and texts do.

Straight answers

Before you ask a salesperson.

What hardware do I need?
None. Seglo Phone runs as an app on the phones and tablets your team already carries. There are no desk handsets, no adaptors and nothing installed on site.
How is this different from a PBX?
A traditional PBX is equipment you own and someone configures. Adding a person means a technician or a licence. Here the number, the ringing and the message history sit in Seglo, and adding a person is a switch in settings that takes effect on the next call.
How many people can be on it?
Up to five devices in total, two of which are included in the $79 monthly charge. A device is any phone or tablet signed in, so one person using both a phone and a tablet uses two of the five.
Can I keep my existing business number?
In most cases yes, and the transfer is included in the $149 setup charge. Seglo checks the number can move before you are charged. Some numbers cannot be transferred at all, and some can be transferred for calls but not for SMS; the check tells you which before you commit.
What happens in an internet outage?
Seglo Phone is delivered over the internet, so it needs a working connection and power. During an outage it will not place or receive calls, including emergency calls, and you should use a mobile or a fixed line instead.
Is there a contract?
No. The plan is month to month with no exit charge. The minimum total cost is $228: the $149 setup plus one month at $79. Prices exclude GST.

Put the number where the whole team can reach it.

What it costs. $149 once to set up, then $79 a month including two devices. Each device after that is $29 a month, up to five. Prices exclude GST, which is shown as its own line on the invoice. Month to month, exit cost nothing, so the least you can spend is $228.

Emergency calls (000, 112, 106). 000 and 112 work from Seglo Phone, and they need power and a working internet connection. In an outage, use a mobile or a fixed line. Emergency services see the service address you have registered, not where the person calling is standing. Always keep another way to reach emergency services. 106 is handled separately and is not carried as a voice call by the app.

Conversation, not campaigns. Your number is for talking to your own customers. Bulk marketing goes out on the platform messaging channel instead, and a number that starts behaving like a broadcast is throttled. That is what keeps it deliverable.
